User Agreement — Color Formula Vault
This User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of Color Formula Vault (“the App”), a mobile application for hair stylists and colourists. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of terms
By using the App you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, that you are using the App in a professional or personal capacity permitted by law, and that you will abide by these terms.
2. License to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose: recording and managing your own colour formulas and client records. You may not resell or redistribute the App, use it for any unlawful purpose, modify it, or reverse-engineer its source code.
3. Account registration
You need an account to use the App. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
One account is for one stylist. Sharing a single account across a whole salon is not permitted; each stylist should hold their own account.
4. Your content and your clients’ data
You keep ownership of everything you enter: your clients, your formulas, your notes, and your photos. You grant us only the permission needed to store, back up, sync, and display that content to you.
You are responsible for the client information you record. You confirm that you have your clients’ permission to store their details and photographs, and that you will handle that information in line with any professional or legal obligations that apply to you.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, offensive, or that infringes anyone’s rights.
5. Free trial and subscriptions
- New accounts may receive a free trial. The trial length is shown in the App at sign-up.
- After the trial, continued access to paid features requires an active subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged on renewal.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly.
- We may change prices; changes apply from the next renewal after we notify you.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access the App by any means other than the interfaces we provide.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, or data.
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service.
- Scrape, copy, or bulk-export data belonging to other users.
- Use the App to store data unrelated to hair colour services.
7. Professional responsibility
Color Formula Vault is a record-keeping and calculation tool. It does not provide professional advice. Formulas, quantities, mix ratios, and processing times you record or calculate in the App remain your professional judgement. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidance for the products you use, and carry out patch tests where required. We are not responsible for the outcome of any service you perform.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the App available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. Where a change is material, we will give reasonable notice.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach this Agreement, if your use puts the service or other users at risk, or if we are required to by law. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete Account.
10. Intellectual property
The App, its design, its name, and its logo belong to us. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any of those rights to you. Product and brand names you record inside your formulas belong to their respective owners.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data. Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
12. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date above or by giving notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Agreement.
